Charles E. “Chuck” Jordan

Charles JordanCharles E. “Chuck” Jordan, 84, Punxsutawney, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 25, 2017, at home.

He was born August 13, 1932, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Faye (Young) and Eugene Jordan.

On November 23, 1956, he married Linda L. (Pierce) Jordan, who survives.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He retired from ACME Machine as a salesman after thirty-eight years.

Chuck was an active member of the Punxsutawney Christian Missionary Alliance Church. He was an avid hunter, especially turkey and deer, and enjoyed running his beagles and coon dogs and spending time with his family.

He was a member of the Tri-County Coon Hunters Association and the Rochester Mills Rod and Gun Club.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include three sons, Paul Jordan and wife Cathy of Marion Center, Timothy Jordan and wife Connie of North Point, and Marc Jordan and wife Joyce of Punxsutawney; a grandson Logan Jordan; two granddaughters, LeAnn Meyer and husband Chad and Amy McCombs and husband Randy; six great grandchildren, Haley, Hannah, C.J., Maria, Hope, and Harrison; and a brother Don Jordan of Punxsutawney.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Walter Jordan, and three sisters, Marie Frye, Dorothy Nicholson, and Ruth Petroff.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday, April 24, 2017, and from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the funeral home with Pastor John Martin and Pastor Bob Grimes officiating.

Burial will take place at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Oliveburg, where military funeral honors will be performed by the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to 365 Hospice, 119 South Main Street, Carrolltown, PA 15722 or to the Punxsutawney Christian Missionary Alliance Church, 1307 South Main Street Extension, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
