Emergency Crews Respond to Vehicle Fire in Bell Township

BELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – On Wednesday afternoon, emergency personnel responded to a vehicle fire in Bell Township.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, the incident occurred around 2:29 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, on Bethlehem Hill road in Bell Township, Clearfield County.

Police say 21-year-old Douglas A. Bouch, of Mahaffey, was operating a 1989 Ford F-150 XLT, traveling south on Bethlehem Hill Road, when his vehicle began to catch fire.

Bouch stopped the vehicle, exited it, and called 9-1-1.

Mahaffey Volunteer Fire Department and Punxsutawney-based State Police were then dispatched to the scene.

Bouch was not injured.

The vehicle fire was extinguished, and the vehicle was towed from the scene by Scott’s Towing.
