Albert Hollenbaugh

Albert Hollenbaugh, age 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Albert was born February 8, 1938 in Panic, PA. to the late Eli and Mabel (Hayes) Hollenbaugh.

He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War.

He loved gardening and just being at home with his family and his grandchildren.

He was a giving person who always had a helping hand for anyone in need.

Albert was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Haire) Hollenbaugh and one son; Kenneth L. Hollenbaugh.

Four brothers; an infant twin brother; David, John and Toby. Three sisters; Louella, Esther and Sara.

He is survived by his daughter; Laura Lee Nelson and husband Vince of Punxsutawney, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Daughter in law; Pamela Hollenbaugh of North East, MD. Two sisters; Frances Fisher and husband Benny of N. Tonawanda, NY., Doris Thunburg of Beaver, PA. and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 11-2 PM on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, where a funeral service will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Devin Wintermyer officiating.

Military honors will be accorded by the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard.

Private interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery.
