Car Crashes into Utility Pole Off Route 219; Curwensville Woman Injured

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225BLOOM TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A Curwensville woman suffered injuries after a crash early Friday on Route 119 in Bloom Township, Clearfield County.

According to DuBois-based State Police, around 12:02 p.m., 59-year-old Beth Hoover,  of Curwensville was driving a 2007 Buick Lacrosse south on Route 219 in the Chestnut Grove area when she lost control while trying to negotiate a left turn in the roadway.

The car left the road and hit a utility pole head on.

Dusan Ambulance Service transported Hoover to UPMC for injuries of unknown severity.

Hoover was using a seat belt.

She was charged with a traffic violation.

State Police were also assisted at the scene by the Brady Township Fire Company.
