Carolyn J. Baun, 83, Rochester Mills, died Sunday, September 17, 2017, at St. Andrews Village, Indiana.
She was born September 15, 1934, in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of the late Faye (Ruffin) Matthews and Lester Morgan. She was later adopted by her step-father, Edwin Matthews.
She was married to Loren H. “Larry” Baun, who preceded her in death on November 19, 1990.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and attended the Rochester Mills Presbyterian Church.
Carolyn enjoyed reading, crafts and loved her dogs.
She is survived by three sons, Scott Baun and wife Sharon of Indiana, PA, Christopher Baun and wife Stacy of Westminster, MD, and Stephen Baun and wife Julie of Riverside, CA; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Gene Lindley, Dennis Matthews, and Ed Matthews; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2017, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Rochester Mills with Pastor Brett Swanson officiating.
Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rochester Mills.
