CU Women’s Track Competes at SRU Open


SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Clarion University women’s track & field team fought through wintry-like conditions on Thursday as they competed at the Slippery Rock Open.

Highlights from Thursday included Katie Brest, who hit a PSAC qualifying mark in the shot put with a distance of 11.82 meters.

Also qualifying for PSAC Championships was Haley Schaller in the 3000-meter Steeplechase with a time of 12:23.15.

The Golden Eagles will have one more meet next Saturday (April 28) as they travel to Shippensburg University for the Paul Kaiser Classic.

PSAC Outdoor Championships will be held the following weekend (May 3) back at Slippery Rock University.
