Donald R. McKay age 80 a long time Broad Street Brockway, PA resident, currently a resident at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA; died on Monday May 22, 2017 at the Jefferson Manor.
Born on May 31, 1936 in Coal Glen, PA; he was the son of the late Walter and Genevieve Williams McKay.
On September 26, 1959 he was married to Marlene Ann Rosman and she survives.
Retired, Don had been employed as a Machinist at Brockway Glass.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Peace Time Veteran and was Protestant by faith.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and his dogs.
He also enjoyed every single minute he had to spend with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife he is also survived by 2 sons: Dave (Cindy) McKay of Brockway; Jeff (Mary) McKay of Las Vegas, NV; 2 daughters: Jennifer (Paul) Mezser and Dawn Marie McKay both of Brockway; 6 grandchildren: Justin McKay, Emily Cook, Jordan Spanggaard, Jacob Spanggaard, Ryann Mezser, Audrey Mezser and 3 great grandchildren Aiden McKay, Declan McKay and Rhemi Cook.
A private memorial service will be held with Rev. Terry Felt officiating.
Burial will follow in the Beechtree Cemetery.
