Details of the case:

According to a criminal complaint, around 9:57 p.m. on Thursday, February 14, Trooper Gray, of the Clarion-based State Police, was dispatched to a restaurant located along State Route 68 in Monroe Township, Clarion County, for a report of an altercation involving a hit-and-run in the parking lot.

At the scene, a known victim reported to Trooper Gray that he and Lindsey Hamilton engaged in an argument in the parking lot after having dinner together. The victim stated that during the argument, Hamilton struck him on the side of the head and took his phone.

The victim also reported that Hamilton then entered her car and backed out of a parking space with the driver’s side door still open, and the door then struck a parked vehicle. Hamilton then allegedly fled the scene, the complaint states.

On Friday, February 15, Trooper MacTavish interviewed a second victim by phone – the owner of the vehicle that was struck in the parking lot.

The complaint notes that the second victim was seated in the driver’s seat of the vehicle and witnessed the altercation.

According to the complaint, the second victim stated she saw Hamilton strike a man on the head and take his phone before running to a vehicle. Hamilton then struck her vehicle with the driver’s side door and fled the scene.

Charges were filed against Hamilton in Judge Schill’s office on February 20.
