Fire Companies Battle Blaze, Save Three Dogs in Sandy Twp.


SANDY TWP., Clearfield Co., Pa. (EYT) — Firefighters battled a blaze in Sandy Township Monday and rescued three dogs from the home in the process.

According to information from the Sykesville Volunteer Fire Department, Sandy Township Fire Company No. 1 responded to the scene and the two departments had the Walls Road fire under control after approximately five minutes.

When firefighters went inside, three dogs were found in a bedroom, two of which were unconscious.

The dogs were given oxygen and all survived, according to firefighters.

The Reynoldsville Fire Company was on standby.

No other information was available.

The home was severely damaged.
