Firefighter Sent to Hospital Following Falls Creek Blaze

FALLS CREEK, Pa. (EYT) — Authorities are investigating a fire that damaged a home in Falls Creek Saturday afternoon.

According to DuBois-based State Police, the fire caused heavy damage to a single story residential duplex located at 48 1/2 Main Steet around 4:55 p.m.

The State Police Fire Marshal and Falls Creek Fire Department investigated and determined the fire began in a utility room.

The cause is still being investigated.

One firefighter was treated at Penn Highlands for smoke inhalation. The name of the firefighter was not released.

Damage was estimated at $150,000.

Fire companies from Adrian, West Sandy, Brockway, and Reynoldsville reported to the scene.

DuBois EMS also responded.
