Jefferson County History Center Celebrates 50 Years

Jefferson County History CenterBROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – The Jefferson County History Center is celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year.

While plans are not yet complete on all events to commemorate the anniversary, the History Center does have two events planned in the next few months.

Saturday, February 25 – Charles Bowdish’s Birthday Celebration

From 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the center will be open to celebrate Charles Bowdish’s birthday.

Admission is free all day, and hors d’oeuvre will be served.

Also, the train will be running, and three new exhibits will be revealed.

Make sure to keep your eyes open because the railroad will hold special surprises that day!

Saturday, March 4 – Third Annual Military Collectibles Show

From 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the History Center will host their Third Annual Military Collectibles Show at the Jefferson County Fair Grounds.

It will feature military items for sale, show, and trade from the Civil War to the present.

For those wanting to register a table, go to jchconline.org and click on Events to fill out the registration form.

Vendor tables are $25.00 each, but exhibit tables are free.
