Jefferson County Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Young Girl

handcuffsPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – A Jefferson County man is behind bars on charges that he allegedly sexually assaulted an underage girl.

Christopher A. Larson, 44, of Punxsutawney, is facing the following charges:

  • Indecent Assault Person Less than 13 Years of Age, Felony 3
  • Indecent Assault-W/O Consent Of Other, Misdemeanor 2
  • Indecent Assault Person Less 16 Yrs Age, Misdemeanor 2
  • Endangering Welfare of Children – Parent/Guardian/Other Commits Offense, Misdemeanor 1
  • Corruption of Minors, Misdemeanor 1

According to a criminal complaint filed Thursday by Punxsutawney Borough Police Officer Andrekovich, the victim was interviewed about the alleged sexual abuse on February 15 at Western Pa. Cares for Kids.

The victim told the interviewer that the incident occurred in December 2016 at Beyer Avenue apartments in Punxsutawney.

According to the victim, Larson allegedly “wrestled around” and got on top of her before allegedly proceeding to touch her genitals for 1 to 3 minutes.

Larson was subsequently taken into custody and placed in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $150,000.00 cash bail.

He faces a preliminary hearing on March 3 before District Judge Robert Chambers.
