John Wayne Balbo, 55, of Ringgold, passed away Monday, August 6, 2018, at home.
He was born on February 25, 1963, in Brookville, a son of the late Victor and Ruth Elaine (Snyder) Balbo.
John worked at Punxsutawney Area Hospital for over 30 years, in the Maintenance Department.
He was a quiet man with a gentle spirit, he was very easy going and always willing to help others. His kindness will be sadly missed by many who had the pleasure of knowing him.
John enjoyed gardening, taking care of his home and spending time with his cats.
He is survived by one brother, Victor L. Balbo of Punxsutawney; two sisters, Mary Taylor of Omaha, Nebraska and Cindy Snyder of Maryland; a special friend, Eric Smith of Ringgold; several nieces and nephews; two cats, Pokey and Oreo that he dearly loved.
At John’s request, there will be no viewing or services. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
