Joseph C. Bangs, 92, of DuBois, PA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Joseph was born in Manayunk, a suburb of Philadelphia, on June 29, 1925.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran. After serving he was employed as a machinist at Fisher & Porter in Warminster, PA, where he retired.
Josephs beloved wife Emily Margaret (Simon) Bangs preceded him in death on July 2, 1996.
Joseph is survived by his four children, Andrew (Laurie) Bangs of Warminster, PA, Margaret (Russell) Wildonger of DuBois, PA, Ella (Walter) Schmidt of Sarasota, FL, and Sheryl Bangs of Las Vegas, NV. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, (Daniel and Kelli), and one great-grandchild, (Antwan).
At the request of the family, there will be no visitation, and interment will be at Whitemarsh Memorial Cemetery in Ambler, PA, Montgomery Co.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Furlong Funeral Home, corner of Broads St. and 1st Ave., Summerville, PA.
