Local Man Injured After Truck Slams into Wooden Barrier

BLOOM TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A local man was injured Friday morning after his vehicle collided with a barrier and rolled onto its side in Bloom Township, Clearfield County.

DuBois-based State Police said the accident occurred around 7:48 a.m. on Route 219 (Chestnut Grove Highway) just south of Irishtown Road.

Clifford L. Miller, 61, of Curwensville, was traveling north and attempting to negotiate a left turn when his 2016 Toyota Tacoma traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a wooden barrier and then collided with an embankment.

Miller’s truck then flipped on its side before coming to a final rest in the right travel lane of Route 219.

Miller was treated at the scene for minor injuries

He was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.
