Man Killed in Bell Township Rollover Crash

BELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a fatal accident occurred on Saturday morning on Cloe Rossiter Road (State Route 2011), in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 66-year-old Clifford L. Voss, of Rossiter, was traveling west on Cloe Rossiter Road in a 2003 Buick Ultra around 7:36 a.m. on Saturday, May 26.

The car was negotiating a left-hand curve and traveled off the right side of the roadway. It traveled approximately 600 feet and across the intersection with Hidden Hollow Lane, hit an embankment, and went airborne for approximately 20 feet before landing on its roof. The car then slid approximately 88 feet in the eastbound lane of travel and came to a final rest in the eastbound lane facing westbound on its roof.

Voss was pronounced deceased at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner Brenda Shumaker.

Jefferson County EMS, Rossiter Volunteer Fire Company, Punxsutawney Fire Department, and Jefferson County Coroner’s Office assisted at the scene.
