Military Members, Vets to be Honored at Clarion University Choir Concert

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – This Friday, December 9, at 7:30 p.m. the Clarion University Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will be presenting their annual fall concert and will be personally recognizing and honoring those who serve or have served in the military.

The concert will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, 700 Wood Street, Clarion, Pa.

The two choirs will be performing a variety of musical styles including choral music from several of the classical periods, folk music, holiday music, and three really cool jazz arrangements of Lennon and McCartney tunes. Violinist Dr. Stanley Chepaitis (Director of the IUP Symphony Orchestra) will be accompanying three of the pieces.

Veterans will be personally recognized and the combined choirs will perform two wonderful pieces written especially for them.

“I hope everyone will make plans to attend. Bring your veteran friends and family. It will be an enjoyable evening!,” said Director of University Choirs, Stephen Johnson, Ph.D.
