New Bethlehem Man Accused of Sexual Assault of Young Girl

handcuffsMAHONING TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A New Bethlehem man is facing indecent assault and related charges stemming from an alleged incident that occurred on Golf Alley Road, in New Bethlehem, Mahoning Township, Armstrong County.

According to court documents, the New Bethlehem Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 27-year-old Winston Allen Brocious, of New Bethlehem.

According to a criminal complaint, Sergeant Nicole Peck, of the New Bethlehem Police Department, received a suspected child abuse report from Armstrong County Children and Youth Services (CYS).

The complaint states that on April 29, 2016, Brocious allegedly touched a 4-year-old girl inappropriately.

On May 10, a forensic interview with the victim was conducted at Armstrong County CYS. The victim made a disclosure, the complaint continues.

Brocious was interviewed in the presence of his attorney and denied all allegations, according to the complaint.

Brocious was arraigned at 10:00 a.m. on December 6 in front of Magisterial District Judge Michael L. Gerheim.

He faces the following charges:

– Corruption Of Minors – Defendant Age 18 or Above, Felony 3
– Indecent Assault Person Less than 13 Years of Age, Misdemeanor 1

Brocious is free on $50,000.00 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on January 10, 2017, with Judge Gerheim presiding.
