Peggy J. Shaffer, 79, DuBois, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018, at her home.
Born September 6, 1938, in Anaheim, California, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Eileen (Loy) Kain Sr.
On April 8, 1961, she married James L. Shaffer in California. He preceded her in death in November 2008.
Peggy was a retired school bus driver and a homemaker. She was a former Girl Scout leader and was Protestant by faith. Peggy loved bowling, camping, ceramics, playing video games, going to antique car shows, animals, bird watching, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Milissa (Jon) Reagle, of Falls Creek, and Kerry (Stephen) Wick, of DuBois; five grandchildren, Allison and Alex Wick, Courtney and Eric McDonald, and Raeanne Reynolds; five great-grandchildren, and a brother, Earl Kain Jr., of California.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Michelle Annette Shaffer, a granddaughter, Mikayla Noelle Wick, a grandson, Michael James Wheeler, and a sister, Rusty White.
Friends and family will be received Friday, April 20, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 21, 2018, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel, Inc. Following Saturday’s visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Richard Durr officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
