Police Release Information on Crash Involving Brookville Woman

BIG RUN BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney have released the details of a crash that occurred in Big Run Borough last week.

According to police, around 9:18 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, Kylie P. Williams, 22, of Brookville was operating a 2009 Mazda 3, traveling south on State Route 119 just east of Thompson Street in Big Run Borough.

Police say Williams was attempting to negotiate a slight right turn on the roadway when she lost control of the vehicle due to traveling too fast for conditions.

The vehicle then crossed over the center line into the northbound lane of State Route 119 before re-entering the southbound lane and striking a telephone pole on the southbound shoulder. The vehicle came to a final rest off the southbound shoulder in the yard of a business along West Main Street, facing east.

Williams and her passenger – 26-year-old Andrew J. Carrier – both escaped without injury.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage to the front end.

Williams was cited for a speed violation.
