Police Searching for Jefferson County Underwear Bandit

BELL TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney are searching for the person(s) responsible for the theft of over $1000 worth of underwear, bras, and other items from a Jefferson County home on Sunday.

According to Trooper O’Leary, sometime between 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, and 1:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 3, unknown individual(s) entered a residence on Bair Road in Bell Township through an unsecured back door and stole approximately $1,000.00 worth of bras and underwear, including three pairs of shoes, Nike Shox (value $100.00), Blowfish brand shoes (value $40.00), and Sperry brand shoes (value $70.00).

Police say corroborating evidence revealed a set of footprints leading from a gas well access road on Milliron Road through approximately 400 yards of wooded area to the back porch of the residence.

The unknown individual(s) fled through the woods and back onto the gas well access road.

The victims are a man and a woman, both of Punxsutawney.
