Police Seeking Information on Hit-and-Run in Washington Township

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police are seeking information about a hit-and-run that occurred on Interstate 80 Saturday afternoon in Washington Township.

According to police, around 1:47 p.m. on Saturday, November 17, an unknown driver was operating what is believed to be a 2017 or 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, traveling west on Interstate 80 near mile marker 92.4 in Washington Township.

Police say the unknown driver drifted out of their lane of travel and struck a 1996 Ford F150 operated by 21-year-old Jacob L. Meulenbelt of Spring Lake, MI, rendering Meulenbelt’s vehicle disabled. The unknown driver then fled the scene.

According to police, the vehicle was described as a black, newer model, possibly 2017 or 2018, Chevrolet Silverado with tinted windows. It is believed to be a four-door, two-ton truck.
