Fire Marshal Determines Cause of Reynoldsville Fire

Red FiretruckWASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police released information on the fire that occurred yesterday afternoon at 246 White Road, Washington Township, Jefferson County.

The PA State Police Fire Marshal and the Falls Creek Fire Department investigated the origin and cause of a fire that destroyed a 2-story 14’x16′ pole building at the above described location at 3:28 p.m.

The fire also damaged a camper and the victim’s residence.

The fire ignited as a result of a lightning strike, police say.

The victim is Thomas A. Coulter of Reynoldsville.

There were no injuries.

Damages are estimated at $30,000.00.
