EMERSON, Ga. – The Punxsutawney baseball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Poplar Bluff (Mo.) Saturday in Emerson, Ga.
The Chucks managed just three hits in the game, including a triple by Braxton Giavedoni. Brandon Matthews and Lucas Ambler also had singles.
Matthews took the loss going 4 ⅓ innings on the mound giving up three runs, two earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out three.
Lance Pennington pitched 2 ⅔ innings of scoreless relief giving up just one hit and striking out one.
