Ralph Francis Babarsky, Sr.

Ralph Francis Babarsky, Sr., 78, of Mount Dora, FL, formerly of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2018 at his residence.

Ralph was born on May 21, 1940 in DuBois, Pennsylvania to the late William and Anna Kokonoski Babarsky.

He was the owner of Century Heating Company of DuBois, PA for many years.

Ralph married Nancy Lyons on February 13, 1971. She survives.

He was an avid coach of both girls and boys junior high and high school basketball, girls’ softball and boys little league baseball. He was a long-time member of the DuBois Beagle Club, winning many trophies and ribbons.

Ralph and Nancy retired to sunny Florida where he enjoyed playing softball, he became known as “The Home Run Hitter.”

Ralph is survived by six daughters; Tammy Bartasavich & her husband Paul of Erie, PA, Tina Sorg & her husband Ben of St. Mary’s, PA, Pam Danver & her husband Tom of Clearfield, PA, Anna Wells & her husband Bill of Reynoldsville, PA, Jill Betton & her husband Don of DuBois, PA and Nancy McCloskey and her fiancé Chris Gray of Grand Island, FL; a son Ralph Babarsky Jr. & his wife Melissa of Erie, PA; twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kathleen Kline.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home, Inc.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11 AM from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Fr. Jason Feigh officiating.

Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.

Memorials may be placed with the Sisters of St. Joseph, 5031 West Ridge St., Erie, PA 16506.
