Roberta Dinsmore Named Secretary for Bridge Builders Community Foundations

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) – Bridge Builders Community Foundations (BBCF) hosted its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, May 30, where the organization discussed details of the past and plans for the upcoming fiscal year.

“Our dedicated Board of Trustees continues to lead this organization in the right direction,” said Trenton Moulin, Executive Director of BBCF. “Bridge Builders had an amazing year and continues to grow.”

In the past year, BBCF reached its $8 million milestone in assets under management and awarded $720,000.00 in grants and scholarships, launched a new website, and held its first Week of Giving, the largest regional philanthropic initiative to date with 300+ donors raising more than $100,000.00 for local nonprofits.

BBCF is made up of four affiliates – Clarion County, Forest County, Punxsutawney Area, and Venango Area – and all affiliates were represented at the meeting. In addition to the Board of Trustees, each affiliate has its own Board of Directors.

New officers to the Board of Trustees were elected at the meeting, and these include:

● Mr. Warren Thomas of Venango County as Chair of the Board of Trustees
● Mr. Daniel Parker of Clarion County as Vice Chair
● Ms. Kelly Lander of Venango County as Treasurer
● Ms. Roberta Dinsmore of Punxsutawney as Secretary

The remaining Board of Trustees members include: Mr. Greg Faller; Mr. Joe Keebler, Esq; Dr. Charles Marlin; Mrs. Lynn McCaslin; Mr. Barry L. McCauliff; Ms. Michele Neal; Mr. David Smith, CPA; Mrs. Susan Williams; and Mr. Norm Wimer.

“I’m excited for the upcoming year and all that our leadership team and the foundation plans to accomplish,” said Moulin. “With each decision we make, our goal is to uphold our mission to grow our communities through philanthropy.”

Bridge Builders Community Foundations, has its main office in the Annex of the Historic National Transit Building in Oil City, and an office in Punxsutawney (by appointment). The community Foundation was created in 1975 to unify the community foundations serving Clarion, Forest, Venango, Jefferson, and other adjacent counties and provide an effective way of serving donors and communities by creating and growing endowments that serve the needs in our area.
