Route 949 Paving Gets Underway This Week

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. – PennDOT District 10 is advising motorists of single lane daylight restrictions along Route 949 between Route 28 and Route 322, beginning this week for paving operations in the townships of Clover and Union and Corsica Borough, Jefferson County.

The restriction will be in place as part of roadway resurfacing, which will include miscellaneous drainage work, milling, bituminous patching and overlay. Crews will be working along sections of Route 949 and traffic will be controlled by flaggers.

Remember to slow down and use caution in work zones.  Pay attention to flaggers and other traffic-control devices. Fines are doubled for violations in work zones.  Drive responsibly for your safety and the safety of the workers. Congestion and delays are possible; allow extra time for your commute.

This $972,568 resurfacing project is being constructed by HRI, Inc., and is expected to be completed the end of August.
