Say What?!: Bakery Won’t Print ‘Summa Cum Laude’ Citing ‘Profanity’ Rule

CHARLESTON, SC – A Charleston family was disappointed to discover the bakery they chose refused to print “Summa Cum Laude” on a graduation cake due to concerns over “profanity”.

Cara Koscinski, who purchased the cake for her son, had to explain to party guests, including a 70-year-old relative, why the store would omit the word “cum” from the cake.
