Say What?!: Six Legged Robot Sets New Guinness World Record

HAMPSHIRE, England – A walking hexapod robot designed and built by British engineer Matt Denton was recently certified as the world’s largest by Guinness World Records.

Denton said the nine foot, 4,188-pound robot, named Mantis, was inspired by the AT-AT robots he saw in the Star Wars movies as a child.
