Sigel Man Accused of Selling Meth Set to Appear in Court Tomorrow

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – A Sigel man who was arrested on drug charges after he allegedly sold methamphetamine to undercover police officers is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.

According to court documents, 30-year-old Curtis V. Walker, of Sigel, will appear in District Judge Gregory Bazylak’s office at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 17, for his preliminary hearing.

He has been charged with the following offenses:

– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered, Misdemeanor

Walker remains lodged in the Jefferson County jail on $100,000.00 monetary bail.

Walker was part of a trio of men that the Jefferson County Drug Task Force arrested on methamphetamine charges after a recent investigation.

Preliminary hearings against Joseph Fyock and William Todd, were scheduled for Thursday; however, they have been rescheduled.

Fyock will appear in court on September 14, and Todd is scheduled for October 3.

Details of the case:

During the time period of August 1 to August 4, controlled buys of methamphetamine were conducted by members of the Drug Task Force in Eldred Township, according to Jeff Burkett, Jefferson County District Attorney.

“Based upon warrants obtained for two subjects pursuant to these buys a controlled traffic stop was initiated by members of the DTF, Pa. State Police K-9 unit, and Jefferson County Sheriff Deputies,” Burkett said.

As a result of the stop, methamphetamine, money, and evidence of drug sales was discovered in the vehicle and upon the occupants of the vehicle.

Based upon the traffic stop and surveillance of a residence on Beers Road, a search warrant was obtained for several buildings located at 691 Beers Road, in Sigel.

The search revealed a substantial amount of methamphetamine with a street value of more than $7,000.00, and evidence of sales including scales and paraphernalia.

New Charges Filed Against Walker

Court documents indicate the following charges were filed against Walker from an August 4 incident:

– Criminal Attempt – Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, Felony 3
– Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
– Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor (two counts)
– Intentional Possession Controlled Substance By Person Not Registered (Misdemeanor)

The charges were filed on August 9.

A preliminary hearing for this case is scheduled for 2:15 p.m. on September 14 with Judge Bazylak presiding.
