DUBOIS, PA (EYT) – The Winkler Gallery and Art Education Center will be hosting a performance of Simple Gifts on February 9, 2018.

The Winkler Gallery, an art gallery, art education center, and cooperative in DuBois, PA, will be hosting a special evening of folk music from around the world presented by the renowned folk duo Simple Gifts on Friday, February 9.
Based in Lemont, PA, Simple Gifts is comprised of members Linda Littleton and Karen Hirshon, who play more than a dozen instruments between them, from violin to hammered dulcimer, and mandolin to banjo-guitar. They share folk music from around the world: Irish jigs, Gypsy melodies, American reels, Scandinavian twin fiddling, Klezmer frailachs, and even original compositions written in traditional style.
The evening at the Winkler Gallery will begin at 5:00 p.m. with a workshop for professional and amateur musicians conducted by Simple Gifts until 6:30 p.m. From 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., there will be an intermission with refreshments and visiting with Simple Gifts. At 7:30 p.m., Simple Gifts will perform.
$10 suggested donations will be accepted at the door for future educational events.
