Spaghetti Dinner Slated for Today to Benefit Edgewood Heights, Brock Roy Family

NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Edgewood Heights personal care community on Keck Avenue in New Bethlehem recently celebrated its 20 year anniversary.

Festivities to honor the milestone will be held in conjunction with New Bethlehem’s upcoming Peanut Butter Festival this weekend.

Although there is a lot to celebrate, WRC Senior Services also is thinking about one of our employee’s families that are currently dealing with the financial burden and stress of dealing with a sick child. Jeana Roy, Hospice RN Manager at WRC’s In Home Solutions, recently found out her seven-year old son was diagnosed with Leukemia. Brock Roy, a 2nd-grade student, was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is undergoing treatment at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh. Brock’s parents, Jeana and Dustin, are both graduates from Redbank Valley.

Another spaghetti dinner benefiting Brock will be held on Sunday in Falls Creek, but WRC wanted to help out and provide local people with an opportunity to also show support for Brock and the Roys. Proceeds from our spaghetti dinner will be split between the Roy family and Resident Life at Edgewood Heights.

The public is invited to join the staff at Edgewood Heights for a delicious spaghetti dinner on Sunday, September 17, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Edgewood Heights, 612 Keck Avenue, New Bethlehem. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Take-outs will be available.

Please join WRC in supporting the Brock Roy Family. Call 814-275-2790 for additional details.
