State Police Calls: Drug Overdose, DUI


JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Drug Overdose in Gaskill Township

Around 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, PSP Punxsutawney responded to a residence along Milliron Road in Gaskill Township for a report of a known 44-year-old male displaying symptoms of an apparent overdose.

The victim was transported to Punxsutawney Area Hospital by Jefferson County EMS for further evaluation.

DUI in Glen Campbell Borough

According to police, 5:36 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, a known 18-year-old Cherry Tree man was stopped for a summary traffic violation along State Route 286 near Rickardsale Road in Glen Campbell Borough.

Police say during the traffic stop, the known man was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. He was also suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance.

Charges are pending.
