State Police Calls: Harassment, DUI

The Pennsylvania State Police responded to the following recent incidents in Jefferson County.

Harassment in Beaver Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police say two individuals engaged in a verbal argument that turned physical at a residence along Pansy Hollow Road in Beaver Township, Jefferson County.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. on May 21, when a known 21-year-old woman kicked a known 38-year-old woman in the shin.

The 38-year-old woman then grabbed and shoved the 21-year-old woman and held her down on a couch.

Charges were filed in Jefferson County District Court.

Police did not release the identity of either defendant.

DUI in Bell Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police say a 53-year-old Monessen man was arrested on DUI charges in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

Around 2:04 a.m. on May 20, the man was stopped near the intersection of SR-119 and Albion Road for a summary traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the man was determined to be driving under the influence.

Charges are pending.
