State Police Calls: Sexual Assault Investigation, DUI, Drug Possession

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – The Pennsylvania State Police responded to the following incidents:

Sexual Assault Investigation

DuBois-based State Police said a sexual assault investigation is underway after two Jefferson County inmates – a 21-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman – engaged in consensual sex in a Jefferson County Jail transport vehicle on Dec. 6.

The suspects were on a break while on work release at an area business at the time of the incident.

As required by the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), the Jefferson County Jail reported the incident to the state police.

The investigation is ongoing.

DUI in Young Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 4:27 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, a known 46-year-old Punxsutawney man, who had been operating a 2013 Honda Civic on State Route 119 in Young Township, was arrested for DUI.

Charges are pending.

Drug Possession in Clover Township

Around 3:11 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, Punxsutawney-based State Police arrested a known 23-year-old Bradford man for drug possession at a location on Jefferson Road/State Route 28 in Clover Township.

Charges are pending.
