Timothy Lee Hallowell

Timothy Lee Hallowell, 53, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on his property on Monday, June 11, 2018.

Timothy was born on March 3, 1965, to William L. and Cathleen “Honey Ann” (Copelli) Hallowell, who survive. He graduated from Jeff Tech, and for most of his working life, he owned and operated Hallowell Construction company.

He attended the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and he was a former member of both Reynoldsville and Sykesville Eagles Clubs. Tim was also a member of the DuBois Rifle and Pistol Association; he was an avid gun enthusiast.

Earlier in his life, he raced dirt, late model racecars for many years and he enjoyed telling his stories of that time period. He loved to be outdoors where he would work in the field both farming and planting crops. He grew the crops for the wildlife to eat.

Tim was not a hunter himself and enjoyed taking photographs of the animals. However, he would let his friends hunt on his property and he very much enjoyed watching the younger generations be successful in their hunts.

He enjoyed making people laugh but he will be most remembered for his willingness to help others whenever they needed it, always putting them first. He never expected anything in return for his efforts, he would simply do things for people because of the love he had for always striving to do good. In the past he taught classes for troubled children which focused on passive restraint. In simple terms, he cared more for others than he cared for himself. He had the biggest heart, whether it was convenient or not.

In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by one brother, William “Ted” (Tina) Hallowell of Reynoldsville, PA; two nephews, Ryan P. Siverling and Theodore T. Hallowell; two nieces, Kacie A. (Mitchell) Farabaugh and Melissa L. Heffner; and nine great-nieces and nephews, Shelby, Maya, Ruby, Preston, Bentley, Jackson, Rowe, Milani, and Mannon.

He is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas H. Hallowell.

A casual celebration of life for Tim will take place on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at his property located at 1103 West Liberty Road, Reynoldsville, PA 15851, beginning at 2:00 p.m., all are invited. According to his wishes, his cremated remains will be spread on top of a hill overlooking the land that he loved so much.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
