ROSE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police-Punxsutawney have released details of a bus versus car crash that occurred on Thursday morning on State Route 28, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, around 7:15 a.m. on October 12, 27-year-old Robert L. Morrow, of Summerville, was traveling north on Route 28 in a 2009 Pontiac G6, and a 2014 Thomas Built, Brookville Area School District bus occupied by 32 students was stopped in the northbound lane of travel. The school bus lights were activated, and a passenger was getting on the bus.
Police say the Pontiac impacted the rear end of the school bus. Both vehicles came to a final rest facing north in the northbound lane.
Morrow was not using a seat belt and suffered suspected minor injuries.
The operator of the school bus – 49-year-old Sandra A. Barnes, of Summerville – was using a seat belt and was not injured.
According to police, Jefferson County EMS transported two school bus passengers to Penn Highlands Brookville; a 12-year-old Summerville male suffered possible injuries, and a 15-year-old Summerville male suffered suspected minor injuries.
Police say the following school bus passengers were not injured:

– a 13-year-old female, of Corsica
– a 14-year-old male, of Corsica

– a 12-year-old female, of Summerville
– a 13-year-old female, of Summerville
– a 14-year-old female, of Summerville
– a 14-year-old female, of Summerville
– a 15-year-old female, of Summerville
– a 16-year-old female, of Summerville
– a 17-year-old female, of Summerville
– a 17-year-old female, of Summerville
– a 6-year-old male, of Summerville
– a 12-year-old male, of Summerville

It is unknown whether the student who was getting on the school bus was one of the individuals transported to Penn Highlands.
Morrow was charged with a traffic violation.
The Pontiac sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene by MacPherson’s Towing.
Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department assisted PSP Punxsutawney at the scene.
