WEATHER ALERT: National Weather Service Warns of Freezing Rain, Hazardous Conditions

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON…

* WHAT…Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of a light glaze expected.
* WHERE…Venango, Forest, Clarion and Jefferson Counties.
* WHEN…From 5 AM to 1 PM EST Today.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Although with temperatures going above freezing, cold roadways will allow for ice to develop. These hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads. Slow down and use caution while driving.
