JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Winter Weather Advisory at 3:05 a.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019:

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM WEDNESDAY TO 1 AM EST THURSDAY…

* WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulation up to one tenth of an inch expected.

* WHERE…Forest, Jefferson PA and Indiana Counties.

* WHEN…From 7 AM Wednesday to 1 AM EST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning and evening commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties.
