JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for Jefferson County and surrounding areas.

The National Weather Service of Pittsburgh issued the following Urgent Winter Weather Message at 3:47 a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019:

Including the cities of Sharon, Hermitage, Grove City, Oil City, Franklin, Tionesta, Clarion, Punxsutawney, Brookville, and Indiana
347 AM EST Mon Feb 11 2019

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 1 PM EST TUESDAY…

* WHAT…Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of up to 3 inches and ice accumulations of one to two tenths of an inch expected.

* WHERE…Portions of northwest and west central Pennsylvania.

* WHEN…From 11 AM this morning to 1 PM EST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the commute.

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Use caution while driving.
