Breaking Amish Star Arrested on Heroin Possession Charges In Punxsy

peacePUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney police report a woman arrested on a bench warrant was allegedly found with heroin and drug paraphernalia in her possession.

Police report arresting 33-year-old Chapel Renee Peace July 25 on a bench warrant from Clearfield County and was allegedly found to be in possession of heroin stamp bags, Valium without a prescription, and syringes.

According to Examiner.com, Peace is best know for her time as “Chapel Schmucker” on the shows “Breaking Amish” and “Return to Amish.”

According to online court documents, Peace faces the following charges at district court 54-03-01:

  • Possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, misdemeanor (two counts)
  • Use or possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor (three counts)

Peace was arraigned at 9:36 a.m. July 25 before District Judge Robert Chambers. Unable to post bail of $50,000.00, Peace was placed in the Jefferson County Jail.

A preliminary hearing has been set for 11:00 a.m. August 6 with Chambers presiding.
