12-Year-Old Boy Killed in Accident in Henderson Township

HENDERSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 5:15 p.m. on September 14, a 12-year-old boy was killed in an accident that occurred on a private roadway, off Rainbow Road, in Henderson Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, the father of a 12-year-old male was operating a Bobcat compact track loader at the above location. The juvenile was operating a horse drawn wagon and inadvertently traveled behind the track loader.

Police say the boy was struck and killed by the loader.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Coroner, Bernard Snyder.

Punxsutawney PSP were assisted at the scene by Big Run Fire Department, Jefferson County EMS, and Sykesville Area Ambulance.
