17-Year-Old Escapes Injury in Winslow Township Crash

car-accident-graphic-5254_jpg_475x310_q85-300x225Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 11:55 a.m. on December 17, a one-vehicle accident occurred on State Route 310, about 0.4 mile south of Wishaw Rd., in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, a 17-year-old male driver, of Stumpcreek, was traveling north-east on Route 310 when he lost control of his 2004 Pontiac Grand Am while negotiating a curve.

The vehicle slid across the southbound lane and struck the guard rails off the west side of the roadway.

It then came off the guard rails back into the northbound lane and came to rest facing northbound in the northbound lane.

The driver required no medial attention at the scene. He was wearing a seat belt.

The driver was charged with a traffic violation.
