17-Year-Old Female Charged with Assault, Harassment Stemming from Argument over Video Game Controller

UNION TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 4:30 p.m. on December 8, an assault occurred at a residence on Route 949, north of Corsica Borough, in Union Township, Jefferson County.

Police say a known 17-year-old juvenile female was involved in a verbal argument with a 39-year-old female, of Corsica, and a 15-year-old female over a Wii controller that was left at another residence.

The argument turned physical when the 17-year-old female shoved the 39-year-old female and punched the 15-year-old female several times in the head, according to police.

Another 15-year-old female attempted to intervene, and the accused grabbed and pulled her hair, police say.

The accused 17-year-old female was released to the custody of her grandmother.

Charges of Simple Assault and Harassment will be filed through the Jefferson County Juvenile Court System.
