Paula K. Augustyn, 53, Clarion, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.
She was born May 4, 1963, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late L. Virginia (Droney) and Walter J. Augustine.
She attended Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
Paula enjoyed bingo, word searches, puzzles, latch hook, flags, her family dogs Sophie and Charm. She loved children, her family, Linda’s family, and attending family functions.
Surviving relatives include six siblings, Marianne Augustyn of Dubois, Kathy “Katie” Brown and husband Ronald of McCandless Twp., William “Bill” Augustyn of Punxsutawney, Jane Addams and husband Dean of Cranberry Twp., James “Jim” Augustyn and wife Patricia of West Lake, OH, and Margaret Williams and husband David of Greenville, PA; nine nieces and nephews; three great nieces and nephews; and her caregiver Linda Slike and family of Clarion, PA.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Michael Joseph Augustyn.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 21, 2017, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
Memorial contributions may be made, in memory of Paula, to the Special Olympics, 2570 Boulevard of the Generals, Suite 124, Norristown, PA 19403.
