  • It was Senior Day inside of a Whited Out Beaver Stadium, but the Penn State football team couldn’t produce enough offense to topple Michigan in a 28-16 setback.
  • After doing nothing offensively in a scoreless first half, Brockway exploded for 32 second-half points on its way to a 32-6 win over Redbank Valley in the District 9 Class A semifinals Saturday.
  • Taylor Braunagel had 15 kills, Marissa Robertson 13 kills and 16 digs, Kaley Pittsley 43 assists and Morgan Seybold 24 digs, but it wasn’t enough on Saturday night as the Golden Eagles lost a hard-fought PSAC Women’s Volleyball Championship to Shippensburg at Pitt-Johnstown by a 3-1 margin.
  • Brent Burns scored twice and Patrick Marleau had two assists, including the 1,000th point of his career, to lead the Sharks to a 3-1 victory.
