20-Mile Gingerbread Tour in Cook Forest Area Wraps Up Today

gingerCOOKSBURG, Pa. (EYT) – The 20-mile Gingerbread Tour concludes on Sunday, November 6. The tour features fifteen vendors and eight restaurants along Route 36, from Cook Forest to Brookville.

Drawing close to 1,000 visitors a year, the official Gingerbread Tour began over a decade ago. However, Pat MacBeth, a local artisan from Sigel, originally created the event several decades ago.

MacBeth and her friends created and sold hand-crafted items in the Sigel-Cook Forest area. The small production eventually expanded to include local craft vendors.

Eight restaurant stops have been added to this year’s tour.

Participating locations will be marked by a 4′ tall gingerbread man.
