$2000 in Gold Coins, Jewelry Stolen from Elderly Couple’s Home

SOUTH MAHONING TWP., Indiana Co., Pa. (EYT) – Indiana-based State Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence in South Mahoning Township, Indiana County.

According to police, over the course of approximately eight months, between June 1, 2019, and February 14, 2020, unknown individual(s) made entry into a residence on State Route 210/Johnston Road in South Mahoning Township, Indiana County, belonging to a 92-year-old Smicksburg man and an 89-year-old Smicksburg woman.

Police say the individual(s) then stole various jewelry, valued at $2,000.00, Susan B. Anthony gold coins, valued at $30.00, a BB gun, valued at $30.00, and U.S. currency, valued at $40.00.
