2019 Tour-de-Forest Deemed a Success

MARIENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Marienville Volunteer Fire Company recently hosted 1,990 Tour-de-Forest ATV enthusiasts, setting a new record for attendance and doubling the per capita of the community.

The Tour-de-Forest (TDF) is a leisurely ride through the beautiful Allegheny National Forest passing streams and vistas not usually seen on an ATV.

During the tour, riders young and old enjoy taking in the sights along the trail or just stopping to take a group photo. The riders also enjoy a leisurely stop for breakfast or lunch at local businesses or along the trail provided by the Lions Club or the Farmington Fire Company.

For nearly 25 years, the semi-annual Tour-de-Forest has helped raise money for a variety of non-profit organizations, including Lions Club International, Relay For Life Cancer research, Shriners Hospitals for children, and locally, the Marienville Volunteer Fire Company, Farmington Volunteer Fire Company, Chipps Memorial Park (MACA), Youth groups, Ham Radio Club, Boy Scouts, the Forest Area Schools, and also area businesses of Forest, Clarion, and Jefferson Counties.

Chairman Brian Popoleo and the Marienville Volunteer Fire Company would like to thank the groups that help make the ride a success and also the community for their support.

Check the Marienville Volunteer Fire Company website for information on the fall ride.
