21-Year-Old Man Injured in One-Vehicle Crash in Jefferson County

PINE CREEK TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say around 1:05 a.m. on July 28, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Interstate 80, in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, this crash occurred as 21-year-old Baron R. Snyder, of Altoona, was traveling east on I-80 while negotiating a left hand curve in the roadway.

Police say Snyder was traveling at a high rate of speed and lost control of his 1996 Prism on the wet roadway.

The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, striking the guide rails while spinning counterclockwise and coming to a final rest facing east.

He was using a seat belt and suffered minor injuries.

Brookville Ambulance transported him to Brookville Hospital.

He was cited for a traffic violation.

Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department; Jefferson County EMS; and McPherson Towing assisted at the scene.
